BOLT, Elizabeth Hylton

Elizabeth Hylton Bolt, 71, of Floyd, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at New River Valley Medical Center.

She was a member of Laurel Branch Church of the Brethren. Mrs. Bolt was preceded in death by her husband, Harold E. Bolt; her father and mother, John B. and Lissie Hylton; and her brothers, Fredrick Hylton and Ralph Hylton.

Surviving are three daughters and one son, Debra Bolt, Baltimore, Md., Patricia Chew and her husband, Chris, Allen, Texas, Terry Bolt, Blacksburg, Va., and her friend, Rayburn Vandergrift, David Bolt and his wife, Terri, Williamsburg, Va.; three grandchildren, Gary Chew, Kevin Chew and Michael Chew, Allen, Texas; two brothers, Curtis and his wife, Lillian Hylton, Meadows of Dan, Va., G.W. and his wife, Miriam Hylton, Christiansburg, Va.; one sister, Shirley H. and her husband, Robert Richards, Floyd, Va.; two sisters-in-law, Louise Hylton, Floyd, Va., and Thelma Hylton, Bedford, Va.; brothers-in-law, J.E. and his wife, Dot Bolt, Willis, Va., Alfred and his wife, Sonia Bolt, Burke, Va.; sisters-in-law, Helen Chun, Florida, and Sue Thomasson, Riner, Va. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2006 at Gardner Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Angela Carr and Mr. Jerry Hylton officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Branch Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday after 12 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home where the family will be from 6 to 8 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, to send donations to Laurel Branch Church of the Brethren in memory of Elizabeth. Arrangements are being handled by Gardner Funeral Home, Floyd.
