WILLS, Earl James

amem_newriver.jpgEarl James “Pug” Wills, 80, of Rich Creek, formerly of Bozoo, died Sunday, May 7, 2006 at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital, Pearisburg, Va.

He was born Aug. 21, 1925, at Bozoo, and was the son of the late George Kelly and Martha Caperton Wills. Mr. Wills was a farmer, and a disabled World War II U.S. Army veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Allen Edward Wills, Robert Lee Wills, Hunter Ernest Wills, Raymond Thomas Wills and Ross Emerson Wills.

Surviving is a special niece that was his caregiver and was like a daughter, with whom he made his home at Rich Creek, Mary Lou Hager and her husband Roger, and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 10, 2006 at Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home Chapel in Peterstown, with the Rev. James Hagy and the Rev. Fred Mooney officiating. Burial will follow in the Peterstown Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., today, May 9, 2006 at the funeral home.
