Altizer, Betty Lou Hill

Betty Lou Hill Altizer, 61, of Christiansburg, went to Heaven on Sunday, May 7, 2006 from her earthly home when Jesus called, Mom answered.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard Roscoe and Cora Reed Hill; husband, Kenneth Cameron Hill, Jr., and son, Cameron Altizer.

She will be sadly missed by her loving daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Paul Hamblin, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Adam Wimmer, Sarah Wimmer, Zachary Hamblin, Jacob Hamblin; special sister, Margaret Hall of Christiansburg; sisters and brothers-in-law, Zella and Ray Bullock, New Ibera, La., Hazel and Earl Brammer, Ravenswood, W.Va.; brothers and sister-in-law, Willard Hill and Everette and Pat Hill, all of Christiansburg; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jim and Avanelle Neal of Christiansburg; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jim and Dean Cobb of Charlottesville, Va.; many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Don Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren, 310 S.
