Dillon, Helen Kay

amem-purpletulipsHelen Kay Dillon, 67, of Christiansburg, died Saturday, October 3, 2015 at New River Valley Medical Center. She was born in Blacksburg, on April 8, 1948 to the late Ralph Eugene and Helen Weddle Dillon.

Kay was a proud Blacksburg High School Indian having graduated in 1966. Kay was a hair dresser in Blacksburg for many years where she owned and operated Kay’s Hair Design.

She is survived by her daughter, Christine B. “Christy” Dillon; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann Dillon-Crawford and Danny Crawford, Patsy Dillon-Long and Bob Long; nieces and nephews, William Long, Courtney Long, Jamie Rizak, Amanda Collins; and her beloved grandpets, Chi-Chi, Gabby, and Callie.

To honor Kay’s favorite colors please wear red or purple to her services. Funeral Services will be conducted Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dewey O. Weaver Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Westview Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Friends of Animal Care and Control, 125 N. Main St., Suite 500, #129, Blacksburg, VA 24060 or the Montgomery County Human Society, P.O. Box 287, Blacksburg, VA 24063.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, October 5, 2015 evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, Sw, Blacksburg.
