Shelton, Jeannie Mann
Jeannie Mann Shelton, 47, of Dublin, Va., was called home by the Lord, along with her grandson, Brendan Hall Shelton, on Tuesday, May 2, 2006.
She was born in Radford, Va. on August 30, 1958 and was the daughter of Lorena and Arnold Garlic of Pearisburg and Bob and Debra Mann of Peterstown, W.Va.
As a nurse of 25 years and a youth ministry leader, Jeannie dedicated her life to the healing of the body and of the soul. She leaves this world as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a member of Grace Ministries Church of God of Prophecy in Pulaski.
Jeannie was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Gracie Shelton, and her grandparents, Porter and Geneva Riner and Ray Mann.
Surviving are parents, Lorena and Arnold Garlic, Pearisburg, Bob and Debra Mann, Peterstown, W.Va.; loving husband, Sanford H. Shelton, Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sonya Shelton, Pulaski; granddaughter, Katie Elizabeth Shelton, Pulaski; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Paul Clark, Radford; sisters, Louise M. Dudding, Botetourt, Beverly M. Stump, Roanoke, Chris Ritchcreek, California, Victoria Hall, Pearisburg; brothers, Warren Richards and Loren Mann, Nevada, Henry Garlic, Pearisburg; a host of other family members and friends.
Funeral services will be private. Visitation will be Friday evening at Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Arrangements by Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
