walker_larry_eugeneLarry Eugene Walker, 71, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at his home in Radford. He was a member of Fairlawn Presbyterian Church and retired from Burlington Industries with 42 years of service.

He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman but was a “dedicated fisherman”.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Okie Walker.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Joyce Bratton Walker of Radford; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy Lynn Walker and Michelle Wheeling, and Randall Scott and Chastity Walker, all of Radford, and Kevin Eugene and Misty Walker of Snowville; grandchildren, Elora and Dusty, Ethan and Lacey, Terra, Aaron, Destiny, Hope and Faith; great-grandchildren, Harley Marie and Eli; sister and brother-in-law, Carolyn and Mike Woolwine of Radford; brothers-in-law and their spouses, Kenneth and Janet Bratton of Radford, and Paul and Pat Bratton of Snowville; sister-in-law, Ruth Dotson of Dublin; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 1 until 3 pm on Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford.

Funeral services will follow at 3 pm with Rev. Frankie Graham and Rev. Rudolph Shelburne officiating. Interment will follow in West View Cemetery in Radford.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1160 Pepsi Place, Suite 306, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
