Tolley, Doris Adkins

Doris Adkins Tolley, 79, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, April 22, 2009. She joined in heaven her father and mother, Harry and Iva Adkins; brothers, Marvin and Roger Adkins; sister, Colleen McGhee; sisters-in-law, Doris Adkins, Violet Woolwine, and Virginia Harmon; brothersin-law, Steve Woolwine and Jim Harmon; and grandson, Lynn Akers. Surviving is her husband of 49 years, Walter Tolley Sr.; her mother-in-law, Rena Tolley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Elizabeth and Claude Hill and Faye and Mike Fisher; sisterin-law, Adell Adkins; brotherin-law, Bobby McGhee; children, Cheryl, Elisha, Regina, Todd, Walter Jr., Connie, Donald, Darrell, Thomas and Ronald; grandchildren, Ashley, Chasity, Miranda, Courtney, Whitney, Tammy, Wayne, Jeff, Thomas “George,” Mark and Linberg; several nieces and nephews; and many special friends. She was a devoted Christian of the Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church. The family would like to acknowledge the Rev. Lee Sarver and brother Don Leonard. We would also like to thank Dr. Jose Rivero and the caring PCU and ICU nursing staff at Montgomery Regional. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Friday, April 24, 2009, at the Horne Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009, at the Walton Pentecostal Holiness Church conducted by Pastor Lee Sarver. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
