Mary Louise Thompson, passed through the hall of death at Archstone Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Chandler, Arizona, May 2, 2006.

Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Matthew Purcell Thompson; and son, Thomas Clinton Thompson.

Louise is survived by son, Ronald Thompson (Joyce), Dale City, Va.; daughter, Anita Thompson, Durham, N.C.; and son, Danny Thompson (Maurica), Sun Lakes, Arizona; son, Khalil Abdul-Rahman, Columbia, Md.; daughter-in-law, Patsy Thompson; and sister, Catherine Clark, New River, Va.; grandchildren, Thomas Thompson, Sherry Penn, Sherl Johnson, Donnell Thompson, Charita Thompson, DeWayne Thompson, Shawn Thompson, Anika Vines-Ogle, Maya Thompson, Ahleyah Abdul-Rahman; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held Sunday, May 7, 2006, 1 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the funeral service at 2 p.m. at First Missionary Baptist Church, New River, Va. The family is requesting, in lieu of flowers, that donations be sent to First Missionary Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, P.O. Box 90, New River, Va. 24129. Penn’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
