Reed, Jesse Arthur

Jesse Arthur Reed, 75, of Christiansburg passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2006.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Essie Mae Jones Reed; and son, Stephen Ray Reed.

Survivors are a sister, Vergie Weeks of Roanoke; granddaughter, Stephanie Reed of Christiansburg; step grandson, Jacob Gilmore of Christiansburg; daughter-in-law, Karen Gilmore and husband Doug of Christiansburg; special nephew, Michael Weeks of Danville.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday January 6, 2006 at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren, Floyd, with the Rev. Richard Thomas & the Rev. Jimmy Cannaday officiating. Interment will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery with full Military Rites by Floyd VFW Post # 7854 & American Legion Post # 127. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday at Maberry Funeral Home, Floyd.
