Allen, Edna Walker

Edna Walker Allen, 88, of Dublin, Va., passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2009. She was a member of New Hope United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonzo Allen. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law, Alfonso Sr. and Norma Walker, of New River; sister, Geraldine Walker, of Aldan, Pa.; aunt, Frances Brockenbough, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2009, at the New Hope United Methodist Church in New River with Pastor Barbara Doyle officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
