Cox, William Davis

William Davis (Cowboy) Cox, 71, of Riner, died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at New River Valley Medical Center.

He was born in Montgomery County, Va., on April 14, 1935. He is survived by a nephew, Jesse Reed, Dublin; and aunt, Lois Cox, Christiansburg; cousin, Herman J. Reed, Riner, other numerous cousins and nieces; and a special friend, Charlie White, Christiansburg.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2006 at 11 a.m. in the Sidney United Methodist Church, Camp Carysbrook Road, Riner with the Rev. Gleasanna Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Reed Cemetery, Riner. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
