Dickerson, Calvin Dayton

He was the son of Charles Henry and Martha McDaniel Dickerson; the husband of Ruby Harris Dickerson; the father of Tom D. (Diana C.) Dickerson and Martha Lynn Dickerson, deceased; also surviving are two sisters, Gladys D. Thompson and Claudia D. Sirois. After receiving a Purple Heart for service in the Navy during World War II, Calvin retired as postmaster in Ballard, W.Va. Calvin was a great outdoorsman, spending many hours fishing and hunting with his many friends. Special thanks to the Southern Care Hospice, especially Lynnette and Danielle. Funeral Services will be held 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Ralph Duncan and the Rev. Mike Battle officiating. Interment will follow in the Topeco Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Maberry Funeral Home.
