Gardner, Gregory Scott

Gregory Scott Gardner, 40, of Radford, Va., passed away Sunday, March 22, 2009. In spite of his physical limitations, he had a desire to help and save the lives of other people.

He was preceded in death by his father, Leonard E. Gardner; sister, Shirley Gardner Phillips. He is survived by his mother, Edith Franklin Gardner; brother, Leonard Edward Gardner Jr.; niece, Traci Patton and family; nephew, Brian Phillips and family; dearly beloved friends, Jeff Harless, James Goin, Chris Gardner, Kelly Stoots, John Noel; good friend, Kena Austin; beloved pets, Rusty, Gracie.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 25, 2009, at Gardner Funeral Home with the Rev. Neal Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Sunrise Burial Park. Friends may call after 5 p.m. on Tuesday at Gardner Funeral Home, where the family will be from 6 until 8 p.m.
