Stanger, Richard Hart

Richard Hart Stanger, 70, of Christiansburg, Va., died Monday, March 16, 2009, at his home. He was born in Montgomery County, Va., on May 7, 1938. He was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Stanger.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys Delaine Stanger; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Johnny Jones, of Christiansburg, Teresa McCoy and Jim Jarrett, of Baltimore, Md., and Ramona and Chuck Scott, of Pembroke; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Cathy Stanger, of Riner; two sisters, Catherine Bailey, of Pulaski, and Virginia Yates, of Christiansburg; and nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2009, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Lee Sarver officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
