Rupe, Robert Lee

Robert Lee Rupe, 81, of Pulaski, passed away Friday afternoon, July 3rd, 2015, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer with his family at his side. He was born in Pulaski, January 9th 1934, the son of the late Louie and Hattie Via Rupe.

He was also preceded in death by great grandson, Tyler Cregger, brothers Basil and Donald Rupe and sister Pauline Brown. He worked as a foreman at the Radford Arsenal for 35 years and was a member of the Riverview Church of God.Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Betty Porter Rupe; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharron and Sonny Honaker, Patricia and Eric Golliher, all of Pulaski; son, Dennis Rupe of Okla.; grandchildren and spouses, Leesa and Donald Cregger, April and Ryan Whitesell, Eric Nunn, Todd Nunn; great-grandchildren, Courtney Cregger, Lexi Caldwell, Madison Whitesell, Landon “LilBoy” Whitesell; sister, Louise Walker of Trinity, N.C.; special sister-in-saw, Sylvia Rupe of Dublin; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11 a.m. from Stevens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Monday evening, July 6, 2015, at Stevens Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
