Hollandsworth, Herbert Clive

Herbert Clive Hollandsworth, 79, of Willis, Va., passed away on Saturday, February 21, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbert Clive and Ruby Quesenberry Hollandsworth; wife, Carleen Roop Hollandsworth; son, Richard Daley Hollandsworth; and granddaughter, Jessica Dawn Hollandsworth.

Mr. Hollandsworth retired from the Radford Arsenal after 27 years as a Roads & Grounds Foreman. He milked 50-60 cows a day on his farm in Willis, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid race fan.

Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, Ralph and Alice Hollandsworth, Bobby and Leslie Hollandsworth, Dennis Hollandsworth, Glenn and Sherry Hollandsworth, all of Willis, Benny and Rebecca Hollandsworth, Floyd, Betty Hollandsworth, Peterstown, W.Va.; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Donnie Bolt, Willis; brothers, Randolph Hollandsworth, Randleman, N.C., Elder Larry Hollandsworth, Hiwassee; sisters, Ruth Gallimore, Greensboro, N.C., Bessie Cox, Radford, June Reynolds, Majella Myers, both of Pulaski, Ardith Harris, Ruskin, Fla., Joyce Henley, Christiansburg, Joan Henley, Bent Mountain; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; five great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel, Floyd, with Elder Larry Hollandsworth and Elder Allen Terry officiating. Interment will follow at Hollandsworth Cemetery, Willis. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009, at Maberry Funeral Home.
