Covey, Hattie Pearl

Hattie Pearl Covey, 77, of Dublin, Va., went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 21 2009. The family would like to thank nurse, Lisa, and special friend, Jr. Breeden, for all there care and kindness. Pearl’s family was always her number one love and concern.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Martha Ann. Surviving are two daughters, Darlene Lovern and Agnes Holt, both of Dublin; son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Velvet Duncan, of Riner; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Brian Matherly, of Dublin; sister-in-law, Irene Turpin; 14 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, February 23, 2009, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, February 24, 2009, at DeVilbiss Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Barr officiating. Interment will follow in Turpin Family Cemetery.
