MOORE, Hayden Costigan

Hayden Costigan Moore, age 9, received his angel wings on Saturday morning, April 15, 2006 at his home in Pulaski, Virginia after a two year battle with Atypical Teratoid/Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT), a rare form of brain cancer.

He was born February 14, 1997. He was a third grader at Snowville Elementary School where he loved all his teachers and his many friends.

Hayden was preceded in death by his grandmother, Burley Jean Moore. Hayden’s memory will be forever cherished by his parents, Barry and Christy Moore, Jr.; his sister Madeline and his brother, Peyton, of the home; his maternal grandparents, David and Helen Heavener of Blacksburg; paternal grandfather, Barry S. Moore, Sr., Pulaski; aunts and uncles, Mary and Chuck Heavener, Blacksburg; Alice and Joe Cappellino and two cousins, Christian and Connor Cappellino of Rockville, Virginia.

Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bob White Blvd., Pulaski. There will be a Celebration of Hayden’s life on Tuesday 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 408 North Jefferson Avenue, Pulaski with Reverend Jeff Kackley officiating. Burial services will follow at the Shiloh Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in memory of Hayden Moore. Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
