Berg, Christopher Allen
Christopher Allen Berg, 35, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Mountain Home VA Medical Center. He was born Sept. 28, 1979, in Fargo, N.D., to Deborah Bauer Berg and the late Curtis Ray Berg. Christopher resided in the Tri-Cities area for six years.
A U.S. Army 19 Delta Specialist, Christopher was a veteran of the Iraq War, where he served as a Calvary Scout in the 3rd Infantry Division from Fort Stewart, Ga. He had also served in Bosnia and Kuwait. Christopher was a member of the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion. He enjoyed shooting, drawing, off-roading and auto mechanics, especially jeeps.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Agnes Bauer.
Survivors include mother Deborah R. Berg, life partner and soulmate Brandie Scott, son Landon Christopher Berg, sisters Cynthia Kiser and Carey Strahm (Craig), brother Michael Schmidt, and special pets Max and Mayhem.
The family will receive friends 11 a.m. to noon Wednesday, May 6, at Snyder’s Memorial Gardens in Gray, Tenn. The service will immediately follow, with Pastor Robert Davis of Draper’s Valley Presbyterian Church officiating. Graveside services with military honors will be 2:30 p.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
