Hensley, Vivian Pauline Cregar

Vivian Pauline Cregar Hensley, 90, of Radford, Va., beloved grandmother and greatgrandmother went to be with her Lord on Sunday, January 11, 2009. Vivian was born on November 22, 1918, in Crockett, Va.

With her husband, Paul, she made her home in Radford and later South Hill, retiring from many years of service at Brodnax Mills. When her husband and son began clock collecting, she joined in the hobby and greatly enjoyed refinishing them and cleaning their works. She recently moved to be with her granddaughter in Michigan, relishing the time they got to spend together and seeing more of her two greatgranddaughters.

Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Grant Hensley; her son, Dr. Larry Donald Hensley; her sisters, Lila Byrd, Ola Vaughan, Cecil Vaughan, Ruby and Myrtle; and her brothers, Jack, Jim, Lynn and Raymond. She is survived by her granddaughter, Lynnette (Ken) Koster, of Byron Center, Mich.; two greatgranddaughters, Keri Lynnae and Kaitlyn Victoria; two brothers, Eddie Cregar, of Rural Retreat, and Fred (Jean) Cregar, of Point Arena, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, January 16, 2009, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Pastor Troy Hickman of LaCrosse Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow in the West View Cemetery in Radford. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday.
