Hughes, Betty Jo Chaffin

Betty Jo Chaffin Hughes, age 81, of Dublin, died early Thursday morning, May 7, 2015 at her Claytor Lake residence. She attended Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was born on August 18, 1933 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Alma Hall Chaffin and Hubert Kelly Chaffin.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, James Chaffin, Kenneth Chaffin, Charles Chaffin, sisters, Hazel Galloway, and Virginia Haga. She is survived by her husband of 61 years; Robert L. Hughes, along with many special nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the mausoleum chapel at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin with David Keister officiating. Entombment will follow the service. There will be no formal visitation.
