Mignone, Fred

Fred Mignone, age 80, of Blacksburg died, Saturday, May 2, 2015 at VA Medical Center, Salem. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 3, 1934 to the late Angelo and Anella Santarpia Mignone. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Janet Stein Mignone.

He was a veteran of Korean War having served in the US Air Force.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Brian Mullin of Cincinnati; sons and daughter-in-law, John Mignone of Philadelphia, PA, Fred and Nancy Mignone of Blacksburg; grandchildren, Joseph Mignone, Kevin Mullin; numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be conducted Monday, May 11, 2015 at 1:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Ms. Donna Douglas officiating. Interment will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.
