Ingle, William Howard
William Howard Ingle, 87, of Dublin passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015. He was retired from RAAP with 32 years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He was born May 4, 1927 in Washington County and was the son of the late James Ingle and Eliza Privette Ingle.
He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Estelle Swartz Ingle and by his daughter, Sherry Ingle. Also preceding him were brothers, J.H. Ingle, Windom Ingle, Raymond Ingle, and Hursal Ingle, and by a sister, Vick Fleenor.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Rebecca Ingle, Troutville; grandsons, Matthew Ingle, Bryan Shepherd, Joshua Shepherd, Kevin Surratt; one granddaughter, Susan Shumate; great-grandchildren, Leah Shumate, Lauren Shumate, Ryan Shumate, Hayley Shumate, Karyss Ingle, Kelley Ingle, Alexander Shepherd, Ada Shepherd, and Alice Shepherd; brother and sister-in-law, Charlie and Dorothy Ingle, Bristol; sister, Margie Leonard, Bristol; sister and brother-in-law, Phyllis and Norman Loveless, Piney Flats, Tenn.; many nieces; and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, May 4, 2015 from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. from Stevens Funeral Home, Pulaski. Immediately following a graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. from the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with the Rev. Travis Ingle and the Rev. Ronnie Musick officiating.
Casual attire was requested by Mr. Ingle for those attending. Flowers are appreciated but you may give memorials to your charity of choice in his memory. The family would like to thank the entire staff at Ridgwood Emeritus / Brookdale Salem and Springtree Health and Rehab Roanoke for the excellent care and genuine friendships extended to each of us and especially our loved one.
