King, Stanley Russell

Stanley Russell. King, 79, of 5538 Thornspring Heights Lane, Pulaski, Va., died early Thursday morning, January 1, 2009, at his home. He was born in Maryville, Tenn., on July 9, 1929, and was the son of the late Olin King and Maude Keller King.

Mr. King was former owner and operator of The Ranch House, Dublin, and was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Japan.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Jane K. King, of Pulaski; daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Harold Mitchell, of Radford, and Beth and Jim Kelley, of Indiana; sons and daughter-in-law, L.T. and Bobbie King, of Pulaski, and Norman King, of Pulaski; sister, Wilma Geokas, of Radford; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mr. King will be cremated.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 4, 2009, from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Don Sizemore officiating. Visiting will be at the funeral home on Sunday where the family will receive friends from noon until the service hour.
