Cruise, Wilda Dean

Wilda Dean Hendricks Cruise, 75, was peacefully called home to be with the Lord on April 22, 2015. She was born April 6, 1940, to the late Walter K. Hendricks and Madeline C. Hendricks, both of Dublin, Va. She passed quietly during her sleep while being cared for at MCV Hospital in Richmond, Va., with her son and daughter nearby.

Wilda was preceded in death by her husband, Rodell E. Cruise Sr., and brothers Douglas K. Hendricks Sr. (Lillian) and John Hendricks (Irene).

Wilda is survived by her son, Dr. Rodell E. Cruise Jr. (Melani) of Arlington, Va., and daughter Cheryl A. Cruise M.S. (Mark) of Glen Allen, Va.; grandchildren Rio Cruise-Ross, B.S., Bria Cruise and Arman Cruise; sisters Ruth Webb (Clarence) and Annie Charlton; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 27, at United Methodist Church in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at the church. Interment will be at West Dublin Cemetery, Dublin.
