Belcher, Madalene Bower

Madalene Bower Belcher, 94, of Floyd, joined her loving husband, Grant Belcher, Sunday, April 19, 2015 to be together forever in their Heavenly home. They were married 70½ years prior to his death in 2009.

Left to cherish her wonderful memories is her loving daughter, Narlene Dulaney, of Christiansburg, Va; her special family include her granddaughter, Sonya (Booie) DeHart, of Christiansburg; grandson, Travis Dulaney, of Plantation, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Tanner DeHart, Skyler Dehart, Bryce DeHart, of Christiansburg and Justin Dulaney and Dylan Dulaney, of Plantation, Fla.

Mrs. Belcher was known throughout the area for her ability to grow any type of flowers, which she loved to share. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed greatly.

Her smile and giggles will be always remembered at Highland Ridge Nursing Home, where she was so lovingly cared for during the past 5 years.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Red Oak Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Hebron Quesenberry officiating with interment in the Sunset Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 21, 2015 at Maberry Funeral Home.
