Reed, Mary Alice

Mary Alice Reed, 52, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on December 22, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clovis and Hattie Reed; and brothers, James Reed and Junior Reed. She graduated from Auburn High School. She joined White Rock Church of the Brethren on August 3, 1969.

She is survived by her significant other, Cleatis Sartin; son, Timothy Reed and Amy Begley; daughter, Kayla Reed and fiance, Kevin Lucas; grandchildren, Ezekiel Reed and Chloe Reed; sister, Faye West and Roderick; niece, Gina and Stuart Straub; nephew, Jason West; and other extended family.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 24, 2008, at White Rock Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Michael Pugh officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 23, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel.
