Wright, George Bonham

George Bonham Wright was born July 9, 1931, in Radford, VA, and entered into eternal peace with his Heavenly Father on March 21st at the age of 83. He was a loving and faithful husband and father, doting grandpa, mentor, and friend.

Serving in the Air Force led him to Texas, where he met and married his wife and became a successful businessman and entrepreneur, deacon, fisherman, gardener, and barbecue connoisseur.

George was preceded in death by his parents James Cleveland Wright and Lucille Bonham Wright, seven brothers, one sister, grandson Travis Bonham Wright, and great-grandson Joseph Radford Calk. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Shirley Bain Wright; children Julia Wright Calk and husband Robert, Kathryn Wright Sellers and husband Bill, and Martin Eldridge Wright and wife Suzy; eight grand-children; seven great-grand-children; and sisters Louise Stafford and Dollie Ford.

Funeral service will be held at Oakwood Baptist Church, New Braunfels, March 24th, 2pm. Burial will be at Mission Park South, San Antonio, 4:30pm.
