Simmons, Shane Lafoy
Shane Lafoy Simmons, 50, of Radford, passed on Saturday March 28, 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He leaves behind his parents, Richard and Colleen Simmons; his sister, Teresa Simmons Elliott and husband, Rick; his nephew, Ethan Hafey; his niece, Christina Elliott; and his most beloved godson, Jeremy Chadwick. He also leaves behind many dear and cherished friends.
The family will receive friends at Auburn Methodist Church in Riner, on Wednesday April 1, 2015 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at the same location on Thursday April 2, 2015 at 4 p.m. with the Reverend Leon Alley officiating. Interment will be private and will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society (P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123) or to Auburn Methodist Church (3940 Five Points Road, Riner, VA 24149).
DeVilbiss Funeral Home in Radford, VA is in charge of arrangements.
