Gemmell, Sharon Leigh
Sharon Leigh Gemmell, age 67 of Pulaski, died Monday evening, March 23, 2015 at the Brian Center in Fincastle. She was born on March 8, 1948 in Pulaski, and was the daughter of the late Josephine Hall Gemmell and Ralph Summers Gemmell.
Sharon was a graduate of Pulaski High School class of 1966, member of The Family Worship Center, and worked at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant and at Pulaski Hospital. Sharon will be best known for her widespread card ministry, while touching so many lives with her cards. She was proud that many were decorated with her own artistic creations and poetic words.
She is survived by her daughter, Gretta Eanes and her husband Chris, and grandson Stacy Jeremiah Eanes of Pulaski. She is also survived by her sister, Suzanne Sharpe and her husband David of Aiken, SC, along with a niece, Keely Lillard of Aiken, SC and nephew Trey Sharpe of Atlanta, GA and one great-niece, Julia Grace Lillard, three great-nephews, Gavin Lillard, Jaxon Lillard and Michael Sharpe.
Funeral services will be held Friday, March 27, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the Family Worship Center in Pulaski with the Rev. Dr. C.R. Connor, and Rev. Gerald Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday at the church from 11:00 am. To 12:00 p.m.
