Saunders, Curtis Eugene

Curtis Eugene (Gene) Saunders, 75, of Dublin, Va., died on Thursday, December 4, 2008. He was born July 31, 1933 in Giles County, and was the son of the late Louvenia Broomfield Saunders and Swanson Saunders.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Brenda Stowers Saunders of Dublin: three sons; Berman “B.J.” Saunders of Dublin, Clifton “Pooh” Saunders of Dublin, and George Saunders and his long-time girlfriend, Angie Anderson of Max Meadows: a daughter; Susan Niday and her husband Chris of Charlotte, NC: two sisers Carmen Sumpter and her husband Morris of Floyd County, and Kakie Strickland of Big Stoney Creek, VA. Also survived by 8 very special grandchildren, and two close friends that were considered family: Timmy Ratcliffe and Steven Kidd, along with many other friends and family.

Funeral services will be held SUNDAY December 7, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. here at SEAGLES. Visiting will be held SATURDAY here at SEAGLES from 6 until 8 p.m.
