CUMBEE, James Edward

James Edward Cumbee, 67, of Charleston, W.Va. and formerly of Pembroke, died Tuesday March 21, 2006 in Charleston.

Born in Pembroke on September 4, 1938, he was a son of the late James Harvey and Norene Lawrence Cumbee. He was preceded in death by a brother, Bobby Cumbee.

He is survived by a daughter, Terry C. Williams of Cincinnati, Ohio; and numerous cousins and relatives in the Pembroke area and his beloved companion, Violet Cummings of Charleston, W.Va.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, April 7 at 2 p.m. in the Fillinger Cemetery at Pembroke with Father John A. Prinelli officiating. The Kendall Funeral Home in Pembroke is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be sent by visiting kendallfuneralhome.com.
