Byrd, Robert Donald

Robert Donald (Bobby) Byrd, 79, of Pulaski, Va., died on Sunday, March 15, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 23, 1935, in Pulaski, and preceded in death by his parents, Laurin Robert Byrd and Faye Ella Smith Byrd. He lived a long, full life, was an avid NASCAR fan, and was retired from Corning Glass Works.

The closeness of his cherished family was felt to his last breath. He is survived by his son/best buddy, Anthony Byrd and wife, Jennifer; five grandchildren; his sisters, Colleen Byrd Riggs (John) and Ellen Elizabeth Byrd; and nieces, Vicki Adams (Danny), Nancy Ondich 9Wayne), and JoAnna White (Mark).

We will miss many things about Bobby and will forever remember and cherish his kind, generous love, smile and infectious laughter.

The family will receive friends at Seagle Funeral Home on Thursday, March 19, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, march 20, 2015, at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. John Riggs officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
