Reece, Lydia Smith Wilson

Lydia Alice Smith Wilson Reece, of Christiansburg, departed this earthly life to be with her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ and her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, March 11, 2015. She was the daughter of the late Grover C. and Gladys Aldridge Smith of Blacksburg.

She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Frank M. Wilson, Sr.; her daughter, Deborah Lynne Wilson; her husband, Lonnie I. Reece; her twin sister, Mary Smith Liano; her sisters, Lois Jewell Elliott, Talmia M. Smith, Irene S. Hagan, Rahma S. Kirkwood, Virginia Aileen Absher; brothers, John H. Smith, William L. Smith and G. Curtis Smith.

Surviving are her two sons, Frank M. Wilson, of Cincinnati, Ohio, Eric P. Wilson, of Roanoke, Va.; three grandchildren, Erica W. Williams and husband, Jeremy, Christiansburg, Va., Kealy E. Gordon, of Washington, D.C., Taylor J. Smith, of Los Angeles, Calif.; three great-grandchildren, Madison, Oakley and Rally Williams, of Christiansburg; nieces and nephews, Mary Belinda Kolodz, Lydia Liano Lennertz, Greg Elliott, Skip Elliott, Charles Akers, Carolyn Thompson.

She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Christiansburg. The family would like to express special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff in the Emergency Room and ICU at Lewis Gale Hospital-Montgomery for here care in her last days.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 at the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rick Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday evening, March 14, 2015 at the McCoy Funeral Home 150 Country Club Dr. SW, Blacksburg.
