James E. (Jimmy) Aust, Jr., 66, of Pulaski, passed away suddenly Friday, March 6, 2015. Jimmy was born on August 16, 1948, in Radford, and was the son of Alice Schrader Aust and the late James E. Aust, Sr.

Jimmy is survived by the love of his life of 46 years, Helen Pappas Aust; daughter and son-in-law, Elene (Staci) and Chris Stratton, of Roanoke, daughter, Georgianna Aust Wright, of Pulaski; mother, Alice S. Aust; and sister, Toni A. Aust, both of Salem.

Also surviving are his grandchildren, Elliana Stratton and Alexios Stratton of Roanoke, and Matthias Wright of Pulaski; sister-in-law, Eva P. Collis of Fort Wayne, Ind., numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and special friends.

Jimmy was passionate about his business, Jim Dandy Auto Service, Inc. (his pride and joy), where he served the community for 40 years. He took great pride in his towing and recovery and his hydraulic hose expertise. He worked closely with state and local emergency responders. He was also an avid reader, scuba diver and enjoyed following various local and international musical acts with his wife, Helen. Jimmy was a very giving and generous person who helped many people. He will be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor and for his love of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at 11a.m. from the Stevens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski.
