James Wesley Bocock, 96, of Radford, Va., passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2008. He was a member of the Radford Christian Church and retired machinist from both the Lynchburg Foundry after 50 years and 8 months and RADVA at age 90 after 20 years of service. He was born in New River the son of the late Robert Warren and Tennie Price Bocock. Survivors include his wife, Margaret L. Bocock, of Radford; a daughter, Doris Golden, of Knoxville, Tenn.; a stepson and his wife, Henry and Connie Faivre, of Chesapeake; four grandchildren and their spouses, Beki and Joey Ledford, of Atlanta, Ga., Michael and Susan Golden, of Nashville, Tenn., Susan and Gary Johnson, of Knoxville, Tenn., and Missy Golden, of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three great-grandchildren, Rachel and Willie Ledford, and Emily Golden; and a brother, Cloyd Bocock, of Roanoke. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, 2008, at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford with Dr. Fred Austin and the Rev. Bobby Sutphin officiating. Interment will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin. The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday.
