Linkous, Donald Miller

Rev. Donald Miller Linkous, 82, of Christiansburg, passed away Thursday, February 5, 2015 at his son’s home in Bastian. He was a retired Pentecostal Holiness minister, preaching up until a few days before his death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbert Lee and Nettie Linkous, his first wife, Phyllis Linkous his second wife, Connie T. Linkous, and a son, Tim Linkous two daughters, Rebecca Linkous and Patricia M. Layne, brother, Otis Linkous, three sisters, Maxine Pinder, Bonnie Creasy and Catherine Burdiss.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Nancy Linkous of Bastian, and Ron and Debbie Linkous of Groveland, FL; grandchildren, Melissa Cantrell, Danny Linkous, Jr., Candice Layne, Carrie Dixon and Brittany and Casey Linkous; 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jimmy Linkous of Wilmington, Del; sister, Florence Tredway of Wilmington, Del; a sister-in-law, Gaynell Linkous of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 pm Monday, February 9th at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 pm with Rev. Jube Burke and Rev. Justin Quesenberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Appalachian Conference Cemetery in Dublin.
