Wade, Robert Graham

Robert Graham Wade, 88, passed away at his home in Radford, Va., on Monday, September 29, 2008. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Radford and was a veteran Staff Sergeant in the United States Army. He was retired from the City of Radford having worked in the billing department.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ritchie Lee Fugate Wade. Survivors include three nieces, Iva Greenhill, of Pikeville, Ky., Addie Tackett, of Mansfield, Ohio, and Virginia Madison, of Pikeville, Ky.; and many other nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, October 5, 2008, at the Christ Lutheran Church with the Rev. John McCandlish officiating. Interment will follow in the church gardens where members of VFW Post #776 will conduct Military Graveside Rites. The family will greet friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 205 Harvey Street, Radford, Va. 24141.
