Mitchell, Janie Rosetta Nunn

Janie Rosetta Nunn Mitchell, age 93 of Pulaski passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at Heritage Hall, Rich Creek. Born May 29, 1921 in Bland County, she was the daughter of the late Roney Nunn & Sally Morehead Nunn.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Lee Mitchell; sisters, Mary Shelton, Aileen Woolwine; brothers, Ralph Nunn, James Nunn and Roy Nunn; great granddaughter, Amber Martin, and son-in-law, Julius Long. She was a member of the Church of God. Mrs. Mitchell worked in numerous jobs in textile, and a cook for Pulaski County Sheriff’s office, YMCA, and Randolph House for Adults.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m., January 27, 2015 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Don Scott officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home.
