Cumbee, Frances Anita

Frances Anita Cumbee, 66 of Rich Creek, VA passed away Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at her home. Born December 13, 1948 at Pearisburg, VA she was the only child of the late Owen Junior and Ruth Marie Bonham Ganoe.

Frances was a Line Cook at Virginia Tech in Owens Hall for over twenty years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Rich Creek.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Winfred Cumbee. Frances was the last surviving member of her family. Those left to cherish her memory are cousins, in-laws, her church family and her little dog, Billie Ray.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Broyles-Shrewsbury Funeral Home, Peterstown, WV with Pastor Jason Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Sunrise Memorial Gardens, Rich Creek, VA. Visitation will be two hours prior to the funeral at the funeral home.
