Dunford, Wallace Clay

Wallace Clay Dunford, 62, of Bland, formerly of Giles County passed away Sunday, September 21st, 2008 at Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville.

He was born in Pearisburg on December 7th, 1945 and was the son of the late Joseph E. and Nannie Louise Ferrell Dunford. In addition to his mother and father, he was preceded in death by two daughters, Mary Louise Dunford and Stephanie Jane DunfordMartin; two brothers, Price Elby Dunford and Larry Allen Dunford; and a sister, Ruby Jane Johnston.

He is survived by two sons, Keith Dunford and wife Melissa, Tony and Valerie Dunford, all of Narrows; three grandchildren, Ryan Austin Dunford, Guhner Conrad Dunford and Brianna Rose Martin; and an uncle, Oscar Price Ferrell of Narrows.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 24th, 2008 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Riffe’s Funeral Service in Narrows with Dr. Travis Bradshaw officiating. Burial will follow in the Shrader Cemetery near Hales Chapel in the Wolf Creek community.
