Spears, Ruth Carlton

Ruth Carlton Spears, 89, of Pulaski, died Monday, January 19, 2015 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Bristol, Tenn. on January 3, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Beverly Carlton Sr. and Maude Quesenberry Carlton.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Leo “Pete” Spears. She was a member of the Anderson Memorial Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are brothers, Franklin Carlton and Beverly Carlton Jr.; sisters, Hallie French and the Rev. Etta Rossman; several nieces and nephews, and many special friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 22, 2015 from the Stevens Funeral Chapel with the Dr. David Kester and the Rev. Mike Honaker officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin. Visiting will be Thursday, January 22, 2015 from the funeral home where the family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to the charity of one’s choice.
