Maxwell, Houston Robert
Houston Robert Maxwell, age 75 of Pulaski, died Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Lewis Gale Hospital – Pulaski. He was born on March 31, 1939 in Pulaski County, and was the son of the late Annie Belle Sirt Maxwell and Henry Michael Maxwell.
Houston was a proud retired career veteran of the United States Air Force, was a member of the Air Force Sgts. Association, and was a dedicated member to Memorial Christian Church in Draper.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John Maxwell and Donald Maxwell.
He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Janie Howlett Maxwell: a son; Cory M. Maxwell of Kansas City, MO; a daughter, Tracy Miller and her husband Steve of Kansas City, MO; three brothers, Edward Maxwell and his wife Wanda of Pulaski, George Maxwell and his wife Wanda of Ocala, FL, and Raymond Maxwell and his wife Karen of Pulaski; six sisters; Daisy McPeak of Wytheville, Dorothy Lindsey of Pulaski, Kate Lindsey of Pulaski, Callie Edwards of Radford, Jane Boleman of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Mary Headley of Las Vegas, NV. Houston is also survived by a very special dear friend and helper, Crystal Howard of Pulaski, along with many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 16, 2015 at 8:00 p.m. at Seagle Funeral Home with the Rev. Johnny Howlett and the Rev. Bobby Osborne officiating. Interment will be held Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Christian Church Cemetery in Draper, where military honors will be provided.
