Grimes Sr., Clifford Carlton

Clifford Carlton Grimes Sr., 75, of Pilot, formally of Columbus Ga., passed away Friday January 9, 2015. Born on November, 7 1939, to the late Oather S. Grimes and Mary Lou Phillips, he was also preceded in death by his daughter Rhonda Grimes Pulliam, brother Earl Grimes and Cecil Grimes.

He is survived by ex-wife Elsie M. Grimes, son Clifford C. Grimes Jr., daughter Christine L. Grimes, son in law Shane Ledford, seven grandchildren and great grandchildren, two sisters Jackie and Jerry Mayes, Joan Whitehurst, one brother Ovid S. Grimes.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 13, 2015, from 1-2 p.m. at The Church of the Brethren. The Funeral Service will be held directly after at 2 p.m., with Pastor Marvin Wade officiating. Interment will follow at Beaver Creek Cemetery, Floyd Va.
