Neal, Gretchen Deneen

Gretchen Deneen Neal, 43, of Washington, D.C. , died Sunday, August 10,2008 at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C. She was born August 24,1964, in Wytheville, Va. She attended business school in Northern Va., but was a free spirit and lived her life spontaneously. She was a daughter of Dr. and Rev. William and Greta Weldon of Christiansburg, Va., her late dad, Charlie Neal, of New Jersey; her late grandmother, Mrs. Corine Hale, of Max Meadows, Va., two sons and one daughter, Christopher Travis Neal, of Fairfax, Va., Jamie Danielle Neal ,of Brandon, Fla., and James Wingfield, of Woodbridge, Va.;, two sisters and two brothers, Carolyn Neal-Price, of Reston, Va., David Wayne Neal, of Arlington, Va., Lolita Hanes Dawson, of Christiansburg, Va., and Chris Derick Neal, of Christiansburg; uncles and aunts, Herbert Wayne and Jane Hale, of Marion, Va., and Marilyn Annette, of Woodbrige, Va. three grandsons, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2008, at Franklin United Methodist Church with the Rev. Barbara Doyle officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Memorial Gardens in Rural Retreat, Va. Arrangements by Penn’s Funeral Home, Pulaski, Va.
