Linkous, Helen Marie

Helen Marie Linkous, 68, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, December 31, 2014, at her home. She was born in Montgomery County June 10, 1946, to the late John Will and Rose Elizabeth Thompson Bishop. She was preceded in death by her husband, Falton Woodrow Linkous; and sister, Frances Altizer.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Rogers; sons and daughters-in-law, Lane and Stephanie Linkous, Joey Linkous, Ellis and Samantha Linkous; sister and brother-in-law, Virginia and Kenneth Hamblin; grandchildren, Hallie and Thomas Linkous, Kristin Wright, Carrie Rogers, Adam Linkous; great-grandchildren, Little Roger, Addison Linkous; stepgrandchildren, Grace Aldridge and Barry Akers; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special niece, Kathy Surface; four brothers-in-law and their wives; special friend, Charlotte Sentner and Wanda Wright.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 2015, at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
