Cauley, Pamela Langhorne
Pamela Langhorne Cauley, 67, of Newport, passed away on December 28, 2014, after a long fight with cancer. She was born to the late Thomas Nelson Langhorne and Patricia Mathews in Evington, on April 8, 1947.
Pam graduated from New London Academy in 1964, and was married to Virgil Brown Cauley Jr. on July 19, 1969. Pam worked in various bookkeeping jobs and last worked at Montgomery Regional Hospital in Blacksburg as an Accountant before her retirement where she met a wonderful work family. Pam was a great advocate for all animals, especially her many beloved cats and wild birds. She loved to vacation on Ocracoke Island, N.C., a small beach town with her husband and son, and she considered it her second home.
Pam is survived by one son, Benjamin Cauley of Blacksburg; and daughter-in-law, Casey; and by three newborn grandchildren, Samuel, Emma, and Charles. She will be greatly missed by her two siblings her sister, Melinda Burnette of Richmond; and her brother, Thomas Langhorne of Salt Lake City, Utah.
A memorial service will be held at 11a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015, at McCoy Funeral Home Chapel in Blacksburg. Instead of flowers, please send a donation to the Humane Society in her name.
