Campbell, Robert Steele

Robert Steele Campbell, 92, of Radford, died Saturday, July 5, 2008. He was a member of the Fairlawn United Methodist Church, a World War II veteran and was retired from the Radford University Police Department, with 38 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Minnie Campbell and two sisters, Alma Evans and Laura Jones. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Zuma McNeer Campbell; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Keith and Jackie F. Campbell, Christiansburg; and two grandchildren, Christopher K. and Matthew K. Campbell.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008 a the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morris officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery, Marie, W. Va. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Fairlawn United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2008 at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home, Radford.
