Fisher III, Ernest “Buddy”

Ernest Plyman “Buddy” Fisher III, 65, passed away Saturday, November 15, 2014 at his home in Radford with his wife and son by his side. He was a member of Unity Christian Church and a 1967 graduate of Radford High School. He was known by his classmates as Ernie and his family as Buddy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E. P. Fisher Jr. and Irene Grogan Fisher, and a nephew, Jacob Fisher.

Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Daisy S. Fisher of Radford; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan P. Fisher and Rhonda Quesenberry of Blacksburg; grandson, Preston Fisher; brother and sister-in-law, Steven Price and Janice Fisher of South Hill; sister and brother-in-law, Ann Fisher Adkins and Eddie Carpenter of Radford; special friend (his kidney partner) Gilda Towers of Marion; uncle and aunt, Ralph and Freida Grogan of Meza, AZ; and numerous cousins and extended family.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 11:00 am at the Unity Christian Church in Radford with Rev. Gina Rhea officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am until the time of the service at the church.
