Stevers, Kermit Leroy
Kermit Leroy Stevers, 59, of Peterstown, W.Va., and formerly of Pembroke, passed away at home on Thursday, June 26, 2008.
Born on March 16, 1949, in Giles County, he was a son of Beulah Radford Stevers of Pembroke and the late William Jessie Stevers. He was a graduate of Giles High School and was employed by New River Castings at Radford, Va. Kermit was full of life and enjoyed hunting, fourwheeling, the great outdoors and was an avid Nascar fan. He loved life and family.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jo Goins Stevers; his mother, Beulah Radford Stevers, of Pembroke; three sisters, Charlotte Niece, of Pembroke, Drema Thompson, of Pembroke, and Dehronda Goad and husband, Randall, of Hillsville; a niece, Tabby Heinlin; nephews, Dewayne Niece, William Benny Thompson, Anthony Thompson, Zachary Randal Goad, Kermit Lee (Lil Kermit) Hundley, and Jessie William Hundley; great-nieces, Savannah Thompson and Hayley Thompson; great-nephew, Cody Dewayne Heinlin; a special little girl, Kacie Renee Dillon, of Peterstown; and many special friends too numerous to mention.
Memorial services will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday afternoon, June 29, 2008, in the Kendall Funeral Home at 605 Snidow St. in Pembroke with Pastor Daniel Sloane officiating.
